JACARE JACK – Revolution (2020)

JACARE JACK hails from Spain, and while formed in 2003, “Revolution” is their first full-length album. The guys play classic hard rock from the late Seventies mixed with melodic hard / AOR from the first half of the ’80s, all with English lyrics and an American style in arrangements.
Among the good things from this quintet – including strong & varied songwriting, and solid performances – is their sound: the production of “Revolution” does not feels prefabricated or pro-tools-ized, but lively, kicking, with the sensation of listening to a band in front of you.
Influences here range from TED NUGENT to VAN HALEN, then early WHITESNAKE, JOURNEY, TOTO and even some TRILLION, LE ROUX.
